Town of Sylvan Lake Mayor and Council approved our Outline Plan for the project – a huge milestone for Blackstone.
On this day the land work officially began. Pidherneys moved in their equipment and went to work. The first task was stripping and stockpiling the topsoil for the Phase 1 area. After some rain delays they completed the grading and excavated what will serve as both a wet storm pond and a water feature.
The Town of Sylvan Lake Mayor and Council approved Phase 1 subdivision with the condition that the adult community area must undergo a zoning bylaw change to allow special lot sizing. Next we needed final approval on a bylaw amendment for the adult community area in phase 1 (34 special lots)
The Town of Sylvan Lake Council voted unanimously to approve the R2 zoning amendment for phase 1. The Outline Plan for the whole project was approved and Phase 1 (100 lots) subdivision was approved.
