Lorraine McGill

Vice President

Lorraine McGill

Lorraine McGill, the amazing and beloved woman who created the amazing vision of Sixty West.

We are very sad to share that after a brave battle with Cancer, Joy Lorraine (Jackson) McGill (Oct 11, 1946 - April 4, 2023) shed her earthly pain. She was surrounded by her treasured family and the love she had nurtured all her life.

Family was most important to Lorraine, especially her children, Tamara, Allison, Lee and Kate. She was her kids’ biggest champion and supported their every dream and endeavor, no matter where it took them. She was a devoted Grandmother (Nanna) to Magnus, Layla, Kaylin, Chloe and Maddox, and so proud of each of them. Lorraine adored and looked up to her brothers, she was beloved by nieces and nephews and cherished by all.

Married for 52 years, Lorraine was a constant inspiration to her husband, Doug. Partners in every way, to him she was a lover of life, believer in miracles and the fulfiller of dreams come true. Lorraine was a lifelong seeker of spiritual growth, with strong faith, and was a true compass to all who connected with her.

Lorraine will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched. She saw magnificence in places others may have overlooked and she brought beauty into everything she did. She freely shared her experiences, her joys, her sorrows and, most of all, her love. She was a loyal and kind friend and neighbour, a visionary in every sense of the word, a strong supporter of women in business and, to her, “no” simply meant she just needed to find – or create – a new path. Always.
