Carlo Vleeming has been involved in construction since he was 9 years old building playhouses and treehouses from scraps he could pull together. After high school, he completed the carpentry program at Red Deer College and acquired his Journeyman Certificate. For 4 years he worked with a reputable custom builder to learn all he could about building homes and has “done it all” with his own hands from excavating the foundation to installing flooring and building cabinets.

Sixty West is thrilled to welcome Sorento Custom Homes as one of 4 builders who will help bring the community to life. Sorento has been in business since 2004. They build great homes and great relationships with their customers and trades. They are equally comfortable building your dream home or your first home.

We anticipate the pipes, roads and parks of our first stage of Sixty West to be complete by the fall of 2017. That’s when our four exceptional builders will start to build homes. Erickson Homes, Sorento Custom Homes and Vleeming Construction will start show home construction in the summer of 2017 – lots are now available. Many of the homes in Sixty West back onto greenways or front onto parks – accenting homeowners enjoyment of the amenities of Sylvan Lakes newest community.

The developers of Sixty West and their builder group are building a variety of architectural styles with emphasis on aesthetics and green space. The design of these residences round out the efforts in an extraordinary way.

In the fall of 2016, Blackstone’s primary contractor, Pidherney’s, started bringing Sixty West to life. With their large equipment on site, they formed one of our many amenities by digging our on site pond and started to prep the area for further servicing.
