In the fall of 2016, Blackstone’s primary contractor, Pidherney’s, started bringing Sixty West to life. With their large equipment on site, they formed one of our many amenities by digging our on site pond and started to prep the area for further servicing.
Now that spring has sprung, they are back putting our sewer and water pipes deep in the earth. Before long, we will have other contractors on site building roads and installing gas and telecommunications. Weather permitting, we will have that done by September.
Then the exciting stuff starts to happen. We will be planting 397 trees, 702 shrubs and 589 flowers – and that is just with our first stage. This first stage also includes several kilometre of walkways located in car free greenways. One of these greenways leads to our first children’s playground. Another leads to our pond side park for picnic and other passive activities – again beautifully landscaped.
We are so excited to show you this terrific community. Stay tuned for photos as our construction activity continues.
