At the 23rdAnnual Spirit Awards last month, Sixty West’s valued business consultant, Louise Gibson of Gibson Development Management, was awarded The Honorary Life Membership Award by Urban Development Institute (UDI) Edmonton Metro.
Louise’s distinguished success is notable through her repeated and proven ability to bridge the gap between vision and implication, which is why Doug and Lorraine McGill know they are fortunate to have Louise on the Sixty West team.
After working for the Province of Alberta and the City of Edmonton, Louise joined Carma Developers in 1998 (now Brookfield Residential), where she was instrumental in the development of Terwillegar Towne, Summerside, and The Orchards.
Doug and Lorraine McGill, who first met Louise at a land development course in 2013, said that Louise was able to see and share Lorraine’s vision for Sixty West, a nature-based community like no other in Central Alberta.
Because of Louise’s experience and confidence in Sixty West, Doug and Lorraine have continued to move forward without compromising the integrity of the vision.
“We never could have accomplished this without Louise’s guided hand.”
Gibson maintains that collaboration of all areas of the industry, including the competition, and are the keys to community development success.
Congratulations, Louise, on this life-time achievement award and recognition.
